Close Mouths Won’t Get Fed, So Don’t You Like To Eat?
Well as a member of the Foodie club and the Get Money club, I love to eat, but I always wanted to get it on my own because I felt like every time I asked someone for something, I was left feeling disappointed. So, I somewhat built up a resistance to asking anyone for anything, even though I probably could have used the help. However, I was a person who wanted to get things done on my own to keep from feeling the disappointment, rejection, anxiety and hurt I would feel when I had to rely on another person. At any rate, with time and growth, I learned that wasn’t the best attitude or mindset to have, especially when I was on a road to success or trying to accomplish a goal. Of course, I had to go through a few things to learn that I couldn’t always do everything on my own, but I’m thankful for those trying times as it taught me a valuable lesson whether I liked it or not. For example, when I first decided to go all the way with publishing, I had not a clue of what I needed to do, but as I started to reach out to people and ask for help, things started to come together because the reality is, I didn’t know everything. I learned that it was okay to ask for help and that there were some people out there who barely knew me but wanted to help. Did it get easier for me to ask for help? No, I still struggle with it, but every day I’m learning how to become better at it. Will it be easier for you to ask for help? Maybe, Maybe not because everyone handles situations differently. Can you do everything on your own in life with no support? It’s gone to be hard and even though you may have to do things on your own without the support you need from your family and friends, getting support from someone will be needed. There were many times when I would go through challenges and obstacles to accomplish a goal, but once I sought the support I needed, it made the challenges less harder to bare because I wasn’t trying to figure it all out on my own. All I needed to do was just ASK FOR HELP because like a wise person once told me, “Close Mouths Don’t Get Fed”. How did you overcome the fear of asking for support and help?

Life Is Too Short!!!!
Yes it is and regardless to if we want to face it or not, we can be here one day, full of life and gone the next. This was my very thoughts the moment I found out that Nipsey Hustle got killed and my heart instantly dropped. I was hurt like I personally knew him, but I was more hurt for Lauren London and their family because I saw how much she loved that man, especially after seeing their interview. I couldn’t take reading or seeing anything about his death because I was really hurt for her, plus I was going through some relationship issues st the time too,so I chose to give myself a social media break to reflect on the feelings I was experiencing. I know looking in, you may look at his demeanor and be like, he seem nonchalant or like he too rough around the edges, but obviously he was meant for her and made her smile, which is what every woman needs. Anyway, hearing about his death was just a reminder that life is too short and you have to cherish those who pour into you and make you smile and don’t waste your time with those who don’t... Takea moment To pray for her and his family as they need it in this moment. |
